We are looking for a Recruiter for a growing team at an installation, manufacturing and distribution company in Sanford, Florida. We provide building materials for the residential building market statewide with locations in Jacksonville, Sanford, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Tampa and Fort Myers. We are the largest independent turnkey supplier for lumber, truss, doors, and windows for general contractors, multifamily and single-family builders.
Job Purpose:
The recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and identifying highly qualified candidates. This role works closely with hiring managers to support the company’s growth, understand workforce needs and ensure timely recruitment of skilled employees to support production goals and operational efficiency. Recruiting is one of the primary duties of this position, but additional responsibilities include managing our applicant tracking system (ATS), screening applicants, providing hiring metrics to management, employment law compliance and additional responsibilities as required or requested.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs for all company positions including production, maintenance, and technical roles.
• Develop and post job advertisements on job boards, career sites, and social media platforms.
• Source candidates through databases, job boards, referrals, networking, and recruiting platforms.
• Screen resumes and conduct initial screening interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications and fit.
• Manage the full recruitment cycle from job requisition to offer acceptance.
• Establish relationships with talent providers including various state-sponsored employment organizations, technical trade schools, high schools, military bases, colleges/universities, and other community-based organizations.
• Conduct onsite job fairs, community outreach, and participate in workforce development programs.
• Traveling within Florida to visit company sites, attend events, and meet with individuals/companies to develop and maintain relationships in order to create a steady flow of qualified applicants.
Required Education and/or Experience:
• 3+ years recruiting experience.
• Knowledge of recruiting tools, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and job boards.
• Experience in manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Experience with high-volume recruiting.
• Strong networking and partnership skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills – English/Spanish bilingual preferred.
• Strong time management and organization skills.
• Ability to use iCIMS system for applicant management.
• Strong aptitude of Microsoft Office Programs – particularly Microsoft Excel.
