We are looking for highly motivated, energetic and strong Lumber Order Puller for a growing team at a manufacturing and distribution company in Gibsonton, Florida. We provide building materials for the residential building market statewide with locations in Jacksonville, Sanford, Ocala, Melbourne, Winter Haven, Tampa and Fort Myers.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Inspecting Forklift
• Pulling Hardware, lumber, siding, exterior products
• Ensuring loads are built accurately and efficiently
• Cleanliness of equipment and yard
• Work in a safe manner
• Get horizontal Pick Ticket from your assigned box & review to see what materials to pull.
• Pick the Long boards first using forks and/or hands to load on Forklift.
• Verify the count matches & mark that amount on ticket in Qty Pulled space.
• Drive to Banding area & place boards on banding platform. Repeat till all boards pulled.
• Band the bundle using bander & strapping material. Spray paint the order # on bundle.
• Pick up Bundle, Drive to staging area, & place bundle on wood strips.
• Pick the sheet material next using forks to load. Then drive to Plastic wrap station.
• Wrap all sheet material & nail plastic to all 4 sides & top. Partials get banded & wrapped.
• Verify the count matches & mark that amount on ticket. Spray paint order # on Side.
• Move wrapped sheets to staging area. Place ticket vertical in box.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience needed
• Good math skills
• Strong work ethic
• Effective communications, both verbal and written

Working conditions

• Job requires some extended hours, as needed, to accomplish job requirements.

Physical requirements

• Job requires lifting, sitting, and walking for long periods of time around a lumber yard.
